What Is the SDI Scubility Dive Buddy Program?
The SDI Scubility Dive Buddy Course is designed to develop the knowledge, awareness, and practical skills necessary to safely assist a diver with physical challenges. This course mirrors much of the Scubility Instructor curriculum, making it a valuable stepping stone toward becoming an SDI Scubility Instructor.
 
Whether you're a diver looking to support friends, family, or the broader diving community—or a professional aiming to advance your inclusive diving education—this course is the perfect fit.
 
Who Should Take This Course?
This program is ideal for:
Certified divers who want to serve as capable dive buddies for Scubility-certified divers.
SDI Instructors looking to expand their qualifications and pursue the SDI Scubility Instructor Certification.
 
Course Prerequisites
To enroll in the SDI Scubility Dive Buddy Course, participants must:
Be at least 18 years old (or 16 with parental consent)
Provide proof of:
Current CPR and First Aid certification
Rescue Diver certification
OR
Advanced Diver certification with at least 40 logged open water dives
